A.N.D (also known as Aoyama Nomura Design) is an interior design company that became noticeable for its take on interior design in Japan. Today we’re taking a look at one particular project they’ve made: the Yoko Chan Flagship Store.

Aoyama Nomura Design was first created in Tokyo all the way back in January 2006. It was created under the wing of the high-end interior, architectural, and product design collective of Nomura Co., Ltd. If this name doesn’t ring a bell to you, then we’ll tell you: it’s one of Japan’s most famous teams of designers, constructors, operators, and managers of architectural spaces.
Currently being led by Ryu Kosaka, Aoyama Nomura Design has been successfully crafting numerous award-winning interiors for a series of establishments mainly in Japan, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore, among them we can include commercial, hotel, office, restaurant, retail, exhibition, and residential projects. In their own words they define their business and way of work as follows:
“We are passionate about helping identify exactly what you and your customers need in everything from overall concepts down to the smallest detail so we can help materialize your vision and contribute to your success through sustainable spaces that excite the emotions and uplift the human spirit.”

However today we’re giving our focus to a particular project that caught our attention not only due to its interior design but also due to a particular element present: a linear modern fireplace. The Yoko Chan Flagship Store is one of Aoyama Nomura Design’s projects in the commercial sector and it comes off as having a minimalistic interior decoration with clean lines and soft colour palettes throughout the space.

However, the lovely linear fireplace might stand out a little more for clients, either due to it being a cold season or because of the lovely flames burning brightly within the modern mantle. The way this one looks in this style of place definitely give a unique strength to the minimalistic vibe it transmits. As a matter of fact, the two main factors that are behind the popularity of linear fireplaces have to to with their convenience and visual appeal, ending up giving a timeless appeal to any style of room.
