Yabu Pushelberg
Yabu Pushelberg is a studio which designs buildings, interiors, landscapes, lighting, products, and graphics. Its designers create fascinating immersive environments. George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg founded the studio in 1980 with a special focus on interior design and since the company grew into a multidisciplinary project.
The design studio and its founders earned several honours, including being appointed Officers of the Order of Canada, included in the Interior Design Hall of Fame and named among the world’s most influential design studios by Wallpaper*, Elle Décor, Hospitality Design, and the Business of Fashion.
This is a good example of a residential project with a living room enhanced by the presence of a fireplace. Notice how all it took as a simple wall in order to install the mantel properly.

Thomas O’Brien
Thomas O’Brien is an interior and home furnishings designer based in New York City. He is the founder and President of Aero Studios, one of America’s leading design companies, and the manager of Aero Ltd., the iconic home boutique that is the retail face of the studio.

The classical looking mantel, as well as the bricked wall around it, are definitely a reflection of Thomas O’Brien’s ability to merge in the classical with the more contemporary. In the case of this living room, we can definitely see the quality of that team with several backgrounds. The fireplace is wonderfully designed with an arrangement of stone making it unique in it of its own. Curiously the fireplace gives a more classical touch to a room mainly composed of modern furnishings.

When he opened his first showroom at rue de Varenne in the mid 1980s, Christian Liaigre surprised everyone with his calm and clean aesthetic which impresses with its individuality and modernity until today.

Studio Piet Boon
Studio Piet Boon is an internationally renowned design studio, recognized for its multi-disciplinary design services and its outstanding talent in balancing functionality, aesthetics and originality into one of a kind design experience.
