While Drake is an interior designer who is praised for being one of the first people to have pushed Modernism to solid fame in interior design during the 80s, Anderson, on the other hand, is known for being capable of bringing a vast number of historical periods together.

This duo is known for having completed many projects in many of Manhattan’s “it” buildings (among them One57, the Baccarat Residences, and Herzog & de Meuron’s 56 Leonard), as well as other luxury interiors in places such as Malibu, Hamptons, Londo, Paris among many other spots around the globe.

The duo is also known for achieving reference awards such as 2018 Elle Decor A-List, the 2018 Architectural Digest AD100 list, Interior Design magazine’s Hall of Fame, House Beautiful’s Master Class and Next Wave, among others.

Drake/Anderson is a good example of a company that invests a lot on in many Pied-À-Terre design projects. We can definitely notice their special touch within these types of projects, as well as their tendency to use many mid-century elements in the decoration and furniture.

The example we’ve decided to pick is a perfect example of the gold trend at its best. Within the wall coverings, the furniture, and other decor elements we can definitely feel the light that emanates from these objects. The interior designers have put their best efforts into giving this room an eclectic feel to it.

Within this interior project, we’ve detected an amazing white fireplace mantle that gives an effective contrast to the gold tones within the living room. It’s a mix of modern and classic with amazing carvings inspired by the Greek columns and other craftsmanship elements. The fireplace is also enhanced by the decorative elements above and on the sides, making it a beautiful centrepiece in this gold luxury scenario.
