One of their first ever projects that they’ve made in the UK was the new hotel from Ian Schrager: the London edition. FOOGO blog has decided to check into this exquisite institution in order to see the luxury it emanates.

Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, The London Edition preserves the finest aspects of an iconic landmark building while reinventing the space within by managing to successfully create a dynamic fusion of old and new, past and present. It was created by renowned designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, who gave their all into conceding this hotel a successful and dynamic mix of old and new, past and present upon the decoration overall.

This hotel has been defined by many as a ‘new kind of gathering place’ set out to astonish, seduce, and inspire Londoners and tourists alike with its electric, one-of-a-kind energy.
The contemporary decoration felt all around the hotel is furnished with modern walnut desks and tables, as well as some amazing modern velvet sofas and sophisticated armchairs. These bespoke furniture elements give the spaces a more luxury feel to them, be them a bedroom or a hallway.

One of the top spots which definitely catches people’s attention is the hotel’s lobby which features a cosy, yet old-school glamorous atmosphere. In order to accomplish this unique vibe, the designers at Yabu Pushelberg were inspired by American minimal artist Donald Judd, maintaining that mix between traditional spaces and modern insertions.
Not to mention the amazing centrepiece that defines the presentation of the room: we’re talking about the bespoke fireplace made out of the most detailed stone and craftsmanship anyone has ever seen. The majestic mantle is surrounded by amazing classical elements, among them the pair of columns side by side of the mantle, the classical painting hanging just above it and the incredible ceiling arrangement also made from the most detailed craftsmanship.
