This Summer 2019 it’s all about playing with both warm and cool metallic tones. One of the best trends for this season consists of a mix of the warmer tones of copper, gold or brass alongside the cooler tones of chrome, silver, and steel. FOOGO blog will be giving you a little help with a couple of lovely furniture you can add to your scenario with the Mixing Metals trend.
As you can see by the use of this incredible mood board by Trendbook, the use of Metal isn’t just for the kitchen and bathroom, it can also liven up a living space. Typically larger than the kitchen or bath, the living room provides a larger playground, which is nice if you want to try new ideas. Here are a couple of furniture elements that you can use in order to be in with this lovely trend.
We will open this discussion by introducing you to the Eruption Wall Fire fireplace. This is a volcano-shaped Wall firepit meant to represent the phenomenon of an eruption coming through its rough-looking steel structure as well as through its chimney-like firebox. It’s a style of electrical fireplace that alongside with its heating system makes this product a perfect fit for many types of environments, becoming the focal point of the room where it’s installed.
Resembling a freshly cracked stone, the Lapiaz Console celebrates the world’s treasures, which are revealed to a select few. This modern console suits a variety of environments thanks to its graceful form which breathes sophistication and delicacy, maintaining a light presence. The Lapiaz’s interior is finished in polished brass which is manually fitted, a unique element that can be complemented with polished stainless steel.

Up next in our list we have the Diamond Sideboard, a reflection of the furniture jeweller’s expertise and quintessence. This piece is inspired by the gothic furniture of the romantic period, with its capacity to take advantage of the power of imagination, prevision, and escape, without forgetting its unique character. This opulent object has two carefully sculpted doors that reveal a lined interior with shelves and two drawers.

Up next is the Lapiaz round mirror which is inspired by authentic karst formations created by surface dissolution, freezing, or thawing of limestone or dolomite rocks. It’s the perfect example of a functional artwork piece born from cold and freshly cracked to show off the world rich, golden details. The organic features of this large mirror are achieved through the manual fitting of golden polished brass, finishes in polished stainless steel. The hammered gold details and the mirrored façade conveys a beautiful duality between power and refinement to bring a new contemporary verve into interior design.
Last but definitely not least we leave you with the Bloom Wall Fire. The design of this mantle consists of a lovely flower-shaped fireplace which is a good example of how fireplaces can be elegant and curvaceous, as well as floral-like (another relevant trend of 2019!).
